I would like to share with you a gift which expanded my heart and echoed deep down inside me. The gift of warm water therapy (WATSU therapy).
I first encountered WATSU during my B.Sc. in Marine Sciences. Being so used to the water medium, I didn't expect the profound effect it had on me. The attentiveness and support of the therapist brought me to a complete devotion. The inner peace achieved through hours of meditation happened so effortlessly in the silence and sanctity of the warm water, I couldn't believe it. From that day on I decided that I wanted to share this magic with others. In 2012, I became a Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association (WABA) certified practitioner.
I've come a long way since, and I am still amazed by the wisdom that springs from the silence.

In my work, I incorporate all tools I have learnt over the years; aquatic therapy, therapeutic bodywork & shiatsu, breathing techniques, yoga & meditation, trauma-sensitive bodywork and spiritual wisdom to allow the patient a safe space to let go.
Everyone is welcome. People who seek relief from physical, mental, emotional or energetic concerns, people who desire a rest in the compassionate dimension of the water and people who wish to explore the power and quality of silence as a part of a learning process to living from the intrinsic wholeness.

Having spent three pregnancies myself in the water, I am aware of the benefits of floating weightlessly in warm water while being gently held and guided into movements that stretch and relieve you. This treatment is recommended from the beginning of the second trimester and is especially beneficial for prenatal mums who have body aches, sleepless nights, leg cramps and backaches.
TESTIMONIALS
I have had profound experiences during my WATSU sessions with Lee. It feels like we enter a compassionate bubble of warm water, where a wordless conversation happens. Just going inwards, through floating, stretches and specific movements, it is safe to let go of pain, stress, and tension. Lee intuitively and gently guides this dance of unfurling and I feel very connected and safe in her hands. By the end, I often feel myself like a young child, I don't know how else to describe it, like being cradled and truly held. It is a profound and sacred feeling, of freedom and wholeness. I am so grateful for having found Lee. Afterwards, I noticed a reduction in pain, reduced mental stress and my sleep improved after months of struggling. I am better able to focus at work and feel more embodied. With her skills and healing presence, Lee guides and allows the body and mind to settle and come into one’s essence. Since discovering WATSU, I attend regularly, because it nourishes me and helps me return to my truest self. I highly recommend this unique and sensitive treatment for anyone who wants a holistic approach to healing.

During these past months, I have been transitioning through a challenging passage of personal change and crisis. Something intuitive ushered me towards Watsu. I had a session about 20 years ago and it began calling me back. Working with Lee has been so very deeply profoundly nourishing, soothing, healing and supportive for me. She has such a tangible stillness and presence and holds a very solid trustworthy container. Lee has listened to my stories with understanding and care. She has also nurtured me beneath the stories into a deep silent place where my body gets to unwind, rest and reset. Booking regular water healing sessions with Lee is one of the most loving things I have ever done for myself, and I totally and thoroughly recommend her services.

I can’t remember the last time I checked in with my body and it wasn’t tense. My nervous system has been in fight or flight mode by default for so long. Rewiring it to feel safe is at the bottom of so many of my health problems. When I discovered Lee combining movement, acupressure, and shiatsu in warm water, I felt relief for the first time in years. I felt surprisingly energized after as if my nervous system had finally been given a break. It takes a very healing, gentle but strong spirit to make someone feel safe in such an environment and I trusted Lee the moment we got in the water. I’m so excited to have found her and look forward to taking this feeling of safety back into life outside the water.
